Are the modules certified?
If you want the satisfaction of gaining formal recognition for your learning, we offer certification assessments across our courses and modules.
If you want the satisfaction of gaining formal recognition for your learning, we offer certification assessments across our courses and modules.
Depending on the module, the test format will change, some are practical, some are multiple choice questions, some are a mini viva (think discussion or interview), some are a blend. All the module tests are supposed to be fun, interesting and engaging and they won’t necessarily be the same as any previous test given. That doesn’t mean some tests will be harder than others, or that this approach reduces the achievement of those that pass.
If, for whatever reason, you do not meet the certification requirements first time, we allow one retest at a later date. We will also try to provide feedback so you can continue developing your skills and understanding before attempting it again. If you are still unsuccessful after the retest and wish to pursue certification in future, you would need to complete the course again. Just in case you were wondering… yes, you do need to complete the course in order to gain the certification.
You might also get to the end of a module and not feel ready for the certification part, even if you thought you were at another time. This is cool too, you can change your mind. If you find that you are ready for the test at a later date, get in touch and we will see what we can do for you. If the module is completed on site this might impact how we approach it, but, we will do our best to work something out.
Test’s aren’t for everyone. So first of all, you don’t have to do it at all if you don’t want. But most importantly, if you give us plenty of notice, we can adapt exams to fit your needs. We don’t mean adapt as in, give you the answer sheet kind of adapt, but more that we can change the format so that you get to show your true understanding and abilities. This is part of our neurodiversity affirming approach.
